Installation of Coconut Flooring
On a Plywood Subfloor - Nail Down installationFirst clean clean the plywood subfloor of debris and make sure that it is dry. The lay the first line of coconut flooring down against the far wall with the groove facing out. Then go along the first line of coconut flooring with a nail gun at about 1 foot intervals nailing the flooring to the plywood subfloor. It is important that the tongue is wide enough to take a staple or nail and that the nail or staple is not so big as to split the coconut flooring plank. After you have nailed the first line of flooring in then lay the second line of flooring down and use a rubber mallet to knock the flooring planks tightly together. Watch this short youtube video to get an idea of how to use a nail gun.
